چکیده

This article presents a phenomenological dynamic phase transition theory – modeling and analysis – for superfluids. As we know, although the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau model has been successfully used in superconductivity, and the classical Ginzburg-Landau free energy is still poorly applicable to liquid helium in a quantitative sense. The study in this article is based on 1) a new dynamic classification scheme of phase transitions, 2) new time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau models for general equilibrium transitions, and 3) the general dynamic transition theory. The results in this article predict the existence of a unstable region H, where both solid and liquid He II states appear randomly depending on fluctuations and the existence of a switch point M on the λ curve, where the transitions changes types.

Low Frequency Acoustic Resonance Studies of the Liquid-Vapor Transition in Silica Aerogel

Fluid phase transitions in porous media are a powerful probe of the effect of confinement and disorder on phase transitions. Aerogel may provide a model system in which to study the effect of dilute impurities on a variety of phase transitions. In this paper we present a series of low frequency acoustic experiments on the effect of aerogel on the liquid-vapor phase transition. Acoustic resonato...

Accurate characteristics of Helium in nano-channels

This article describes an accurate subPico flowmeter bifurcatedin to liquid and gas flowrates less than 1mol/s for both MEMS/NEMS and cryogenic technology applications. The MEMS/NEMS are described as either two Gauges (instrument), or quartz fluctuating forks, even if the liquid or gas flows through an element, as well as cryogenic technology consisting of arrays of e...

Dynamic Model For Production of Biohydrogen Via Water- Gas Shift Reaction (RESEARCH NOTE)

In design of anaerobic bioreactor, rate equation is commonly used. Mathematical model was developed at steady state condition, to project concentration of gaseous substrate and product in biological oxidation of carbon monoxide with water to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The concept of bioconversion was based on transport of CO from gas phase to liquid phase, as the CO consumption was in...

Theory of first-order layering transitions in thin helium films.

Thin liquid He films on graphite show evidence of layered growth with increasing number density via a succession of first-order phase transitions. These so-called ‘‘layering transitions’’ separate uniformly covering phases, such as monolayers and bilayers. The present work is a detailed theoretical study of such layering transitions using a Maxwell construction. We model the graphite surface by...
